Your technical and delivery lead, on your side of the table
Before you commit to an agency, get clear on what you need, what it should cost and how you will know it has been delivered.

Talk through your projectWhen the decision is big and the detail is unclear
- You’re about to commission a website or system and don’t know what it should cost.
- Three proposals, three different scopes, and no way to compare them.
- Your brief is long, but nobody could say what finished looks like.
- You want the agency accountable against something written down.
I help you turn business requirements into a practical specification, compare agencies and establish a clear basis for delivery. I bring technical, commercial and agency experience to the decisions, working alongside your leadership and internal teams.
Define the work before buying the build
Together we establish the business objectives, requirements, constraints and existing systems the project needs to work with. I challenge unnecessary complexity and identify the questions that need answering before agencies can estimate responsibly.
The result is a brief that makes proposals easier to compare and reduces the ambiguity that can lead to extra cost later.
Select the right agency
I help assess proposals, technical approaches, delivery teams and estimates. We make assumptions, exclusions, dependencies and ongoing costs visible, so you can judge the whole commitment as well as the initial price.
Agree what delivery means
Working with the selected agency, I help develop the statement of work (what will be delivered, by whom, for what cost) around clear deliverables, responsibilities and acceptance criteria: a written list of what “finished” means, agreed before work starts. Each milestone should have an agreed cost, a defined output and a clear basis for acceptance. Feature-level costs are made visible where practical, with shared setup and dependencies identified rather than hidden behind false precision.
You can see what you are buying and what the agency needs to demonstrate before work is accepted.
Decide what belongs in phase one
We assess features against their business value, cost, risk and dependencies. That gives you a reasoned first-release scope, with other work deferred, investigated further or removed where appropriate.
Phasing accounts for the cost of adding something later as well as the saving from leaving it out now.
Keep an experienced owner through delivery
You can retain me as your fractional delivery lead to manage the agency, track budget and scope, coordinate decisions and oversee testing against the agreed criteria.
When a change is proposed, I help make its effect on cost, timing and dependencies clear before you decide.
Where to start
Start before you appoint an agency, or bring me into an existing project that needs clearer scope and ownership. I can continue with agreed fractional capacity through delivery.
I’ve written the proposals you’re comparing
My experience includes acceptance-criteria-first delivery frameworks, six- and seven-figure portfolio budgets and technical coordination inside Adobe Commerce, Hyvä, WooCommerce and WordPress agencies. I bring that agency-side understanding to your side of the table.
Three proposals. Which one is actually cheapest?
Three fictional agencies quote for the same job. Once the gaps are costed, the cheapest on paper is the most expensive.
The specification you’d get
A sample specification, change control note and proposal outline, written for a fictional business.
From first call to a signed statement of work
A conversation
Where things stand and what’s at stake. No finished brief needed.
The scoping brief
Fixed price from £750, or from £1,500 for portals and systems: milestones, acceptance criteria and an estimate range.
Agency selection
Proposals compared like for like, with the assumptions and exclusions made visible.
Statement of work
Milestone costs and sign-off tests agreed. I can stay on as your delivery lead.
Got quotes that don’t line up?
Send them over. I’ll tell you what each one includes, and what it leaves out.
Talk through your projectAdvice you can take elsewhere
I advise on projects and also offer direct builds. If Vision2 could deliver the work, I make that commercial interest clear when comparing the options. The written brief is yours to take to another supplier.
The next step stays your decision
The recommendation may be a Vision2 build, an agency, improving what you already have, or leaving a change out. Scoping and any subsequent implementation are agreed separately, with their own deliverables and costs.
